Adventure 9
A Trip to Rodia

After picking up Tharg’s new Reek on the moon of Nar Shaddaa, the crew are asked by a group of pirates that they are seeking passage to the planet Rodia. They are in a hurry to meet a deadline and are looking for a ship that is leaving. The crew say they will take them for 2000 credits each. The pirates say ok, and soon the Gilded Rancor is shuttering through the sky and on its way to Rodia.

The trip to Rodia was uneventful. The Gilded Rancor landed safely on the platform at Rodia City. After letting off their passengers, Griff tells them about an ancient Chiss research facility that was once operated on this planet. They find out where the ruins are and head out into the swamps. Along the way the crews speeder is struck by a giant snapping turtle. Garth was able to keep the speeder from being destroyed with some slick piloting but everyone was thrown from the speeder and he was left hanging upside down from the speeder. Tharg was thrown onto the back of the beast and proceeded to pummel the beast senseless with his axe. Before the beast could recover, Garth righted the speeder, everyone got in, and they were off again. Tharg was very disappointed that he couldn’t keep the giant turtle.

After several hours travel deep into the swamps, the crew finally find the ruins. They quickly discover a window that they brake to enter and find themselves in a medical supply room. Finding only a few stim packs they open the door and move out into knee deep water in the hallway. As they make their way down the hall CH-1 is stopped by a tentacle around his ankle. He managed to keep his balance and started firing into the murky water. Hitting nothing he calls out for help from his friends. Tharg stepped up and hacked at the tentacle with his axe, cutting deep into the dianoga. Griff and Garth also shoot at it but it is gone. They continue down the corridor and eventually find the main lab. Once they are in the lab Griff hot wires a terminal and manage to start it up. Garth then starts hacking through the system to find information on what they were working on here. Come to find out, the Chiss were working on a super soldier formula. After searching the lab they find 4 intact vials of the formula. They head back to the ship and head for home.

Once home the crew start to formulate a plan to market the formula, while Tharg tries his hand at Reek Riding. He managed to stay on for 6 seconds before being bucked off.

Meen Mine Collapse

While lounging around the Spice Shack the crew are interrupted by a Twi’lek kid saying that one of the mine shafts collapsed trapping 5 miners inside. He asked for their help and led them to the mine. When they got there dust and rubble filled the shaft entrance. They found a small opening in the rubble that they could use to get through and proceeded to enter while the other miners started on clearing the rubble. as they moved through the mine it became clear that the shaft was unstable and several time debris fell on them. Tharg got separated from the group while getting one of the miners and had to wait for the group to dig him out. They were able to mined 2 miners and rescue them. Those miners told them that they had broken into a Lylek lair and that the creature was loose in the mine. As they moved further into the shaft they came across the mutilated bodies of 2 more miners that had tried to get into a drilling machine to protect them from the beast but Lylek’s are extremely quick. Using the lights on the drilling machine the team moved further along and eventually came face to face with the creature. Garth tried to use the drill on the machine to lance the creature but he missed the beast and broke the drill. Tharg charged the beast and cut deep with his axe but the beast easily knocked the Gammorian to the ground. Fixo, Nasuj, Griff, and CH-1 started shooting at the creature, but the beast just shrugged off most of the damage. The Lylek then flipped the drilling machine on its back trapping Garth. Griff then shot at the ceiling and crushed the creature under tons of rock. The mine was now safe for the miners to come and shore it up and clear it out. The party now gets 1% of the profits from the mine in exchange for their protection.

A Fish in a Barrel

While hanging out at the Spice Shack the crew pick up a bounty for a Quarrin that was wanted by a corporation for stealing credits. They tracked the guy to the planet of Rodia where he was staying in a hotel for aquatic lifeforms. The team was able to shut down the power to the hotel floor that he was on making him call the front desk for service. The call was intercepted by the team and they went up to “fix” the problem. When they got there the Quarrin got suspicious and tried to shoot at the team and run, but instead found himself flying through the window down to their waiting speeder. The brought him back to the corporation and got there reward.

The supercharger heist

While the crew was relaxing at the Spice Shack watching Lowhhrick the wookie and Mavar’us the Tusken throw Zorcck the local drunk out the door for distance. The Tusken seemed to have the better throw and was trying to get the wookie to agree. Alfred the C3 droid suggested that they have another go at it before making a judgement. At that moment a human walked in as Zorcck made his way through the air passed him out the door. The human walks over to the crew and asks if they need another person on their crew. After talking with him and seeing what he can do, they add him to the party. They talk some more about what they want to do for their next mission. The human Jonas tells them about a job he heard about. It was a rescue mission from a local rebel cell. The rebels where looking for someone that could get into the Imperial holding facility in Mos Eisley on Tattooine. The crew had already hit the Imperial impound yard there so the rebels gave them the job. After flighting from Ryloth to Tattooine and landing on Mos Eisley. Once there the crew scouted out the holding facility and found that the security was tight. While CH-1 and Tharg scouted the facility Griff and Fixo went to the network substation that they used last time to hack into the Mos Eisley government network. There they found Roy the tech that was on duty last time and asked him to do some checkup on the computers. Roy said they could if they could get the AC working for him. After getting the AC unit to work they found out that the R3 unit they are looking for was on the 2nd floor of the facility and there was an underground access tunnel that brought power and communications into the building. The team got an extra speeder bike at Felnorr’s used vehicle lot. With the 3 bikes Tharg, Griff, and CH-1 created a distraction at the front of the building while Fixo and Jonas took the speeder to an aisle a block away and entered the underground tunnel there. CH-1 blew the gate open and started shooting at the patrol outside. Tharg charged one of the guards with his ax taking him out but his bike got hit and he crashed into the fence. As the firefight raged on outside Fixo and Jonas made their way up to the second floor dodging the interior patrol as they went. When they got to the door of the lab that was holding the R3 unit they heard another explosion. Fixo managed to get passed the lock on the door they rebooted the droid and started to head back out of the building. On the first floor they where spotted and the interior patrol started shooting at them. Fixo and Jonas managed to get the R3 unit passed a grate that they cut through earlier as the security team dropped grenades down behind them. Tharg Griff and CH-1 broke off the attack and headed back to the ship loosing there persuers in the maze of wharehouses. Fixo and Jonas got back to the speeder and got the droid in as the quards where coming out of the tunnel. They sped off back to the ship before the guards had a chance to shoot at them. The team manager to make it back to the hanger.

A day at the track.

Garth was having trouble getting in contact with his Pike Syndicate people so the crew did some looking around for a job that they could do to make some cash. They needed something to do before the Wookie and the Tusken killed each other. They had been fighting again. Tharg’s solution to the problem was to make them bouncers for the Spice Shack. As Tharg’s was hiring them a Rodian came in looking for work as a mechanic. Tharg hired him on the spot. Griff came across a bounty that the Black Sun had out on a merchant on Ryloth that owed them money. The crew found out that this merchant had a fondness for horse racing and that there was a track outside the spaceport. CH-1, Tharg, Fixo, and Nasuj hop into the speeder and head to the track with Griff following on his swoop bike.
They get to the track a few minutes before the start of the next race. The stands are crowded with people all placing bets on the next race. The crew decide to split up into 2 teams, Griff, Tharg and Fixo search on side of the tracks stands while CH-1 and Nasuj search the other side. As CH-1 and Nasuj are moving through the crowd CH-1 spots the merchant. He calls the others on the communicator and they all start to close in, but before they get anywhere near the merchant a group of 4 Weequay thugs grab him first. CH-1 immediately open fires on the group hitting one of the men making him, the merchant and one of the others fall over on the stands seats. Nasuj tries to stun one of the other 2 but he didn’t go down. Tharg then charges one and hits with his axe knocking him over. This guy manages to get of a shot at Tharg but it doesn’t do much. Fixo moves the speeder into position to cut off their escape. Tharg then intimidates them into giving up the merchant. The crew take the merchant to the Black Sun HQ and pick up their bounty of 5000 credits and they make a new contact.

Adventure 4 - Pt 4
Discovery on Arunia - pt 4

Back at Mos Eisley the crew spend some time searching for information on where the artifacts are. They find out that they are being held in a police impound yard in the warehouse district. They scout out the facility and note the guard shift changes and the perimeter defenses. They come up with a plan to get in by posing as the team that is being sent to pick up the artifacts and transport them to an Imperial science vessel that is en route. The team purchase an old UPS hover truck from a local Jawa. The truck needed some fixing so Griff set to work while Garth an Griff’s R6 droid hacked into the town halls network so they could get into the police network from a less secure access point. Once on the network the R6 unit gets Garth into the police impound records and changes the time that the artifacts with be transferred and who will be picking them up. Garth and the droid also create all the documents to get them in and out of the impound yard. The next day the team takes their newly painted and fixed truck over to the impound yard and are let in with their fake id’s. The crew let the impound labor droids load up the crates and then leave the yard. They get back to the ship at the spaceport just in time to see a Lambda class shuttle touch down a few pads over from them. They lift off and fly back to Ryloth.

Adventure 4 - Pt 3
Discovery on Arunia - pt 3

With the money from the sale of the artifacts and the sale of the Krayt Fang the crew purchase the cantina and the resort land around it. They also purchase a Wayfared freighter. The ship they name the Gilded Rancor, and the cantina they name the Spice Shack. While Griff goes into town to find some droid parts he is almost spotted by a Chiss squad in the market. Griff made his purchases and headed straight back to the Spice Shack. Tharg and CH-1 go on a short hunting expedition and come back with a Nexu that Tharg plans on using in the arena that they are putting under the Spice Shack. Garth in the meantime is confronted by a Pike syndicate member that wants the crew to get their artifacts back or their money, so the crew stock up on supplies and head back to Mos Eisley.

Adventure 4 - Pt 2
Discovery on Arunia - pt 2

Once our crew reached the world of Geonosis, they stopped in on their patron Duke Piddock. After showing him the treasure that they had found on the planet of Arunia he was very impressed. He looked over the artifacts and bought the most stunning of the remains off of them. Once he had his treasure Garth called up his Pike contact and arranged for a meeting for them to purchase the rest of the treasure. The meeting took place on the world of Tatooine, in the warehouse district of Mos Eisley. Garth’s contact was there with lots of money and a truck to haul away the goods. The money was exchanged and the Pike’s drove away. The next day the crew see on the news that the Pike team had been arrested by the local police force and that the treasure was being confiscated by Garth’s nemesis Rene Bellock, chief scientist of archaeology at the Imperial Academy of Science on Coruscant.

Discovery on Arunia

After the crew of the Zepher spent some time shopping and upgrading the ship and equipment, the argued about what to do next. Fortunately Garth had an idea that they could all agree on, they could do some treasure hunting. Garth told the others about an archaeological dig going on the planet of Arunia. The planet was the home world of an ancient species of amphibians called the Arunee. Garth was hoping that they could find a relatively undisturbed site that they could take some artifacts from and sell to a buyer that he knows.

When the crew got to Arunia they spotted a Nebulon B science frigate in orbit. With some smooth flying by Garth they land on the planet without being spotted by the frigate. They lucked out even further when Garth landed not far from a completely untouched temple of the Arunee. Excited of the prospects of what they may fine Garth cautions them all to be careful, or the temple could collapse on them.

The party searched the main hall of the temple and found a nice intact tile mosaic in the entry and several frescoes on the walls but nothing portable. Then they found a trap door in the floor that led down into a crypt. In the crypt they found the remains of 6 priest with several pieces of jewelry on them. As the crew began to remove the remain they hear movement outside and soon have a security team from the nearby Imperial dig site asking them for their dig papers. That is when the fight broke out. After a short battle the team buries the security team in the desert and sends their speeder shooting across the desert. The crew pack up the rest of the remain and head back to Geonosis.

Adventure 3 - pt 5
Long Arm of the Hutt -pt 5

After landing in Moss Shutta the party decided to sneak into Teemo’s palace by using the battle droid crates. Once in the palaces workshop the crew decide to split into two teams. Tharg and CH-1 head to the gladiator cells to free them and recruit them to help take down Teemo. Pash and Griff head to the communication room to see if they can access Teemo’s computer system and dig up any info on what Teemo is up to.

Tharg and CH-1 enter the cell block and demand that the guards free the prisoners and join them in taking out Teemo. The guards (Gamorian) tell Tharg to go to hell. The first guard charges forward and is cut down by Tharg. Tharg then cuts the lock off of the first cell door an Aquelish comes out and runs by. At that point the other guard says that he will join them and hands them the cell keys. They then free the rest of the prisoners; a Wookie, a Human, and a Tuskin Raider. The Tuskin lunges at the remaining guard and starts to beat on him. Everyone laughs and Tharg separates them, then they all head out.

Pash and Griff head to the communication room. When Pash opens the door he sees a friend working at one of the stations in the room. Pash has Griff wait for a minute and goes in to talk to his friend (Jack). Pash distracts Jack by talking about money that Jack owes Pash, and gets him to tell him that the fights that Teemo is going to broadcast the next day. As Jack is distracted, Griff sneaks past into the server room to access the computers. He has trouble at first but is able to shut down communications to the outside world. Because of the trouble he was having Griff signals Pash to get Jack out of the room so he can use Jacks open terminal to access the computer system. After some digging Griff finds out that Teemo was spying on Jabba the Hutt, and got the plans for the battle droids. Meanwhile Pash was drinking with Jack when Jack hears gunfire and sees a prisoner escape past him, at that point Pash stuns his friend and puts him out on the loading dock.

The party reunites and heads out into the lobby of the palace. As they come to the lobby they see 6 thugs. Tharg tries to get them to join up with them, but as he is speaking Griff lobs a frag grenade into the middle of the group and splatters one of them all over the other five. With guts all over them and their ears ringing they flee out into the city. The party moves on down the grand gallery and runs into some resistance but they take take of it quick. At the short corridor going from the gallery to the throne room the party runs into heavy laser fire. Griff takes the initiative and heads back through the palace and enters the throne room by the gladiator pit where he lobs a frag grenade at a group of guards standing by the throne. The guards are all knocked prone. This gives the rest of the party time to enter the throne room and take cover behind some tables. Pash notices that there is a giant chandelier hanging over Teemo’s throne. He then tells CH-1 to aim for the chandelier. CH-1 takes aim and hits the chain holding the huge chandelier. It crashes down on Teemo and the guards killing all of them.

At this point the rest of the guard and anyone else in the throne room start to loot and flee the palace. The party finds a stash of credits on Teemo’s throne. They head back to the Lucky Guess and set a coarse back to Geonosis and their ship. Along the way they contact Anatta, Jabba’s spy and give him the info about Teemo spying on Jabba.
